The federal government is investing in economic recovery in the region.
As a part of their Economic Development Week, investments are being made in tourism attractions that are vital to the region’s economy and cultural identity.
More than $11.2 million was delivered to 118 tourism businesses in Bruce, Grey, and Simcoe counties.
The Tourism Relief Fund also gave funding to the Kenorus Campground and RV Resort.
The campground received $100,000 to install an additional pool.
In a media release from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, the organization also says that they’re committed to providing funding to 23 Indigenous-led tourism projects across Southern Ontario.
