Port Elgin 10 Tara Twins 10
It was a chilly windy night in Tara for the Twins Season opener in the Grey Bruce Ladies League.
The Diamond Devils got out to an early lead but the Twins came roaring back to tie things up late with a 2 RBI Triple by Mia McNab, Chantal McKinnon went 2 for 2 for the Twins with an RBI.
Alisa Christie and Hope Jackson split the pitching duties for the Twins.
Jenna Bell, Laurel Hopkins and Lisa Holme’s each had RBIs for the Devils.
Emily Charlton, Tanya Redmond and Kaitlyn Gibson all saw time in the circle for the Devils.
Tara Ladies 13 Chippewa Hill Extreme 2
The season opener for the Tara Ladies was a chilly one.
Tara jumped on the sticks early and often.
Lexy Mahon led the charge going 3 for 3 for the home team.
Mahon had a good night in the circle striking out 6 in 3 innings. Kelley Porter and LeeAnne Cochrane pitched in relief for Tara,
Chippewa Hill was led by Jayden Solomon going 2 for 2 with a triple to the fence. Tiffany Kewageshig pitched in the loss for Chippewa Hill going the distance with 6 K’s.
