Bruce Power is helping local organizations with a donation for Mental Health Awareness Month.
The power company has donated more than $50,000 to a number of organizations that support mental health, and to improve access to care for surrounding communities.
In 2023 alone, Bruce Power has given donations to We C.A.R.E. Grey Bruce, WES for Youth Online, Westover Treatment Centre, Bruce Grey Mentorship, PRANCE Therapeutic equestrian centre, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Grey Bruce and Kincardine and District.
The company is also supporting the mental health of its employees and their families by offering on-site and virtual mental health learning sessions, which offer topics including understanding self-care and resilience, addiction, and ending the stigma of mental illness.
