An annual historical event in Huron County is looking for volunteers.
County officials say they are seeking volunteers to help portray former inmates in “Behind The Bars.”
The event gives visitors the chance to learn about life at the Huron Historic Gaol between 1841 and 1923.
Volunteers will step back in time to portray real life inmates and staff from the Gaol’s past, sharing highlights of their characters’ stories with visitors.
Behind the Bars tours run every Tuesday and Thursday evening through July and August.
Anyone looking to volunteer can contact the Huron Historic Gaol at 519-524-6971 or email klewis@huroncounty.ca.
