Grey Bruce Health Services Hospital Foundations are launching a 50/50 Lottery to support the purchase of another MRI machine.
The Owen Sound Hospital Foundation says in a release the foundations in Bruce Peninsula, Markdale, Meaford, Owen Sound, and Southampton are collectively launching the lottery.
All proceeded will go towards a second MRI machine.
“Last year, 9,597 MRI scans were performed. Two machines will help reduce wait times, clear backlogs, and ensure availability for emergency situations (such as when a patient is having a stroke),” says the foundation.
May’s jackpot ticket deadline is May 30, with the draw set to take place the next day.
The 50/50 lottery will be drawn monthly and more information can be found on the GBHS website here.
