Orillia OPP have located an overdue boater deceased on Bass Lake in Oro-Medonte.
On April 28th, shortly before noon, police were contacted regarding a male who had gone fishing and failed to return home at the scheduled time.
The Orillia OPP Marine Unit, OPP Aviation Services, Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU), and OPP Canine Unit have assisted with search efforts.
On May 3rd, members of the USRU located the missing person deceased.
The deceased has been identified as a 47-year-old male of Orillia.
