Huron County’s first Pride Festival is promising to be enjoyable for the whole family.
Ontario’s West Coast will celebrate inclusivity and acceptance Saturday June 10th in downtown Goderich with numerous events.
Team Leader for Huron County Pride, Meghan Frayne, says the events begin at 9:00 a.m..
“We have drag yoga, and then right at 11:00 a.m. is our first drag show,” Frayne tells Country 104.9 News.
“It will be a day of fun and love and acceptance, and being proud of who you are.”
Frayne confirms there will be a drag story-telling during the festival.
Volunteer Coordinator Jacob Bjerg says more fundraisers could be coming in the future, after a sold-out campaign in October.
“I know they’re hoping to do the Drag BINGO, which I think was a huge hit,” Bjerg says.
“We’ve got lots of plans for things… pretty sure we want to get this one out of the way first, to see what we’ve got for community involvement.”
