Grey Bruce OPP say more than $135,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered in a multi-jurisdictional investigation.
Provincial Police say members of the Grey Bruce Community Street Crimes Unit began investigating a string of property crimes at the beginning of April that spanned across several counties.
OPP say a 28-year-old Thornbury man and a 51-year-old man from The Blue Mountains have been charged as a result of the investigation. Each man was arrested on separate dates in April and held in custody for bail hearings.
The two accused face several criminal charges, including theft, possession of property obtained by crime and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Officers from both Grey Bruce OPP and the Owen Sound Police service recovered about $135,000 worth of suspected stolen property. Police haven’t described any of the goods they recovered.
“Members from the Community Street Crime Unit will be contacting owners of the stolen property as they are identified,” a release from the OPP explains. “Please do not call the Grey Bruce OPP to inquire if items belong to you.”
