Bruce County Public Library will be hosting a panel called ‘A Place to Belong’ this weekend.
On April 22nd, the panel will be inspired by local stories from the perspective of newcomers at the Port Elgin Branch.
The work is called A Place to Belong: Stories from Newcomers, which is a compilation of 19 stories from immigrants and former refugees.
The collection was published in 2021 by The Ginger Press, which is based in Owen Sound.
The panel will include editors Joan Beecroft, Dana Benson, Donna Jansen, and several residents who are new to Grey-Bruce.
The event is open to the public and starts at 1 p.m.
Copies of A Place to Belong will be available for purchase, or you can borrow a copy from the library.
