Grey Bruce Health Services has updated its in-hospital masking requirements in alignment with recommendations by Public Health Ontario.
Effective immediately, universal masking will no longer be required by members of the public at GBHS hospitals.
Masks will still be required in the emergency departments, for patients entering the hospital while symptomatic, and for visitors in patient rooms.
Grey Bruce Health Services is advising that patients and visitors are still expected to maintain physical distance while in common waiting areas.
Additionally, any patient who would like to continue masking is encouraged to do so, and masks will remain available to anyone who prefers to wear one.
