The 2023 Ontario Hockey League priority selection is set to get underway Friday night.
The Erie Otters hold the No. 1 pick and already unveiled their selection in a press conference yesterday. The Otters will take defenceman Matthew Schaefer with the top pick. The 6-foot-1 blueliner from Hamilton played with the Halton Hurricanes during the 2022-23 season, recording 32 points in 25 games.
The Owen Sound Attack hold the 12th overall pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.
Friday night, the first three rounds of the priority selection will be held starting at 7 p.m. The rest of the picks will be made tomorrow.
