The Roxy Theatre is taking patrons back to the 1930s in an attempt to solve a murder mystery in its latest show, The Game’s Afoot.
Written by Ken Ludwig, this comedic murder mystery will take theatre goers back to a time when William Gillette invites his Sherlock Holmes co-stars to his eccentric Connecticut mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. The night takes a turn for the worst when one of the guests is murdered and it is up to Gillette, who embodies the persona of a master detective he has made famous on stage, to track down the killer before another victim appears.
Running April 12 to April 15, Director John Flynn says if you are in need of a good laugh and something to challenge your detective skills, then The Game’s Afoot is just the thing.
“This talented and seasoned cast is bringing to life magnificent characters and working with a deadly funny script that is sure to tickle the funny bone,” says Flynn.
The show will be running this week at 7:30 p.m., with a mandatory mask show running on April 14.
Tickets for this show can be purchased on the Roxy Theatre website here.
