Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP have charged two people in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Collingwood.
The investigation started several months ago, when police received information about cocaine and fentanyl being trafficked into Collingwood. The investigation revealed that one of the suspects had been released on bail for previous charges and failed to appear in court.
On April 3rd, police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 26, where the three occupants in the vehicle were arrested for possession of cocaine and a loaded 9mm handgun.
One person was released without charge.
