A Hanover man faces charges after a stabbing.
Hanover police say they were called at about 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29th about a disturbance in progress where a person was reported as being stabbed with a knife during an altercation on the street.
Police say they arrived on the scene and determined the stabbing occurred after a fight broke out between two men on the road near the intersection of 10th Avenue and 12th Street in Hanover.
Police say further investigation determined the suspect has also slashed the tires of a vehicle parked on the road in front of the residence associated with the victim.
Police say the victim, who is a 30 year old Hanover man was treated at the scene by Grey County paramedics for a non life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen.
Police say the suspect was located in a nearby residence and arrested.
They say the suspect and the victim are acquaintances.
A 42 year old Hanover man is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under $5,000.
Police say he was remanded into custody after his bail hearing.
