Grey Bruce OPP say they have identified the pedestrian killed in the Municipality of Meaford in relation to a death investigation.
Police say on March 25 at 1:05 a.m., Grey County OPP and Grey County EMS responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian along Story Book Park Road, and upon arrival, officers found the involved vehicle had left the scene.
OPP say the pedestrian, identified as 44-year-old Ken Irvine of Kitchener, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police are asking anyone with video of the area between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. on March 25 to call Grey Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
OPP say Story Book Park Road from Highway 6 & 10 to Concession 10 has since re-opened.
The investigation is continuing under the direction of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch.
