Huron County residents have been scammed out of tens of thousands of dollars in recent scams.
OPP say a Huron East resident received multiple calls from someone claiming to work for their bank, asking for their banking and personal information, which was provided.
That victim lost $2 thousand.
In a second incident, a grandparent scammer contacted a South Huron resident, posing as an RCMP officer, claiming their grandchild needed bail money.
In that case, $40 thousand was sent to fraudsters.
A third case in Central Huron found a resident out $15 thousand, after providing information to a caller claiming to be with their bank.
OPP remind you not to give personal information over the phone, and to never send money to someone you have not met.
