Two people are facing charges following an investigation into a report of a stolen vehicle in Bolton.
On Thursday, March 16th, police received a call about a vehicle stolen in a parking lot at around 5:20 that afternoon.
Police found two occupants in the vehicle at the time, and officers immediately attempted to block the vehicle in to prevent a pursuit.
One of the vehicle’s occupants then attempted to run away but was quickly found.
While investigating the vehicle, officers found a large amount of stolen property, including identification and credit cards, as well as break-in instruments.
A 39-year-old from Brampton and a 39-year-old from Mississauga are facing a combined 14 different charges, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, possession of stolen identity documents, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of an automobile master key.
OPP are reminding the community to not leave wallets, personal identification, or credit cards in their unattended vehicles.
