Provincial Police have now laid charges against two students after a stabbing at Grey Highlands Secondary School in Flesherton yesterday.
OPP Const. Joshua Cunningham provided an update to the police investigation this morning, saying both students taken into custody have been charged.
A 15-year-old student from Southgate Township faces an assault with a weapon charge, and a 16-year-old student from Grey Highlands is charged with attempting to obstruct justice.
Both will appear in youth court next month.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to the Flesherton school around 10:15 a.m. Thursday morning, after it was reported a student had been stabbed and needed medical attention.
An OPP spokesperson says the incident took place in a washroom.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries police describe as non-life threatening.
The incident prompted a brief lockdown at the school, which was lifted just prior to noon Thursday.
