County council approved an extension to the contracts with Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance for the contracts for a Nurse Practitioner and for the Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Team.
In September 2021, the county entered into the agreements.
The recruitment and retention of staff for the positions was difficult, so the emphasis was to extend the contracts.
The agreement for the Nurse Practitioner was changed to now end on November 30th 2024.
The positions are important to the county, because they provide services to individuals experiencing homelessness and also those experiencing mental health crises.
