Investigators from the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Detachment have made an arrest in the overnight robbery of a Main Street Penetanguishene convenience store.
On March 3, 2023, at 1:50 a.m. officers were alerted to the incident involving a lone store clerk being robbed by an unknown individual with an edged weapon who fled the scene after taking a quantity of cash.
Through investigation, a 24-year-old Penetanguishene male was identified and arrested in the late afternoon of March 3, 2023 at a William Street, Midland business.
The accused is in custody awaiting a bail hearing. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
