The County of Huron is celebrating local maple syrup producers during the month of March.
County officials are promoting several maple syrup-themed events throughout the month, beginning on March 7th, with several local restaurants promoting menus featuring maple syrup in every course.
On March 18th and 19th, several maple-themed activities are being promoted by Huron County:
- Visit local area sugar bushes
- Enjoy Pancake Breakfasts hosted by local Firefighters in Blyth and Zurich
- Experience candy making, Birds of Prey presentations, Ice Carving demonstrations and military manoeuvres in the bush.
- Take a sugar bush walk with Indigenous Food Historian or experts on trees and forest animals from the local Ausable Bayfield or Maitland Valley Conservation Authorities.
