
The City of Owen Sound is gearing up for its 10th annual tourism restaurant event.
The city says the awarding winning tourism event Savour Owen Sound, running throughout the month of March, is featuring 12 participating restaurants. The participating businesses will offer a special fixed dine-in and takeout menu for meat lovers and plant-based foodies alike.
The participating restaurants include:
-Brigit’s Bakery Cafe
-Bishop’s Landing
-The Curry House
-European Bakery
-Harrison Park Inn
-Mudtown Station Brewery & Restaurant
-Naagan – Zach Keeshig
-Papi’s Eatery & Lounge
-Sabitri’s Global Cuisine
-Shorty’s Grill
-Sweetwater Restaurant
–10th Street Diner
In addition, there will also be weekly draws for a chance of win a $50 gift certificate to a participating restaurant, with winners announced on the Owen Sound tourism events and attractions Facebook page here and the City of Owen Sound Instagram page here.
The city says by visiting any of the participating restaurants, attendees can fill out a ballot to try and win the grand prize, a savour foodie basket, consisting of local merchandise and gift certificates valued at $1,000. The winner will be announced April 8.
People can also vote for their favourite restaurant for the winning eatery to win the right to display the People’s Choice Savour Skillet. Your vote can be cast on the Owen Sound tourism website here.
“Celebrating 10 years of the winter culinary campaign, Savour Owen Sound is a fantastic community milestone. This event is a fun way for residents to experience the diversity of many of the wonderful restaurants that Owen Sound has to offer. Whether revisiting your favourite sport or getting out to try something new, it’s a great way to support local,” says Mayor Ian Boddy.
This tourism event was awarded the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario Award for Winter Collaboration in the fall of 2021.
