There has been a homicide in downtown Barrie.
City police say a 47-year-old man died in hospital after an altercation Monday morning involving a group of people on Collier Street.
Police say the victim managed to make it down to a diner on Dunlop Street where he collapsed.
He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators have not made an arrest, but say they don’t believe there is a threat to public safety.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have been driving in the area and has dash cam video to contact Barrie Police.
