Saugeen Shores Police have provided an update about a house fire on Rankin Street in Southampton on February 5th.
Police say the sole occupant of the home escaped, but suffered smoke inhalation.
They note, preliminary investigation determined the fire may be accidental and the fire department is continuing the investigation.
Back on February 5th, at about 2 p.m., 23 firefighters responded to the small cottage which was fully involved when they arrived. At the time, the department estimated the loss at approximately $110,000.
