The new specialized accessible transit service in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, and Clearview is exceeding ridership expectations.
Transit plus has more than 200 registered clients, up from about 80 when it launched in December and the town of Collingwood is encouraging anyone in need of accessible transit service to register.
Riders are required to sign up to use the service which provides door-to-door assisted transportation for anyone who is unable to access a conventional transit stop due to disability.
TransitPLUS operates the same hours as the Colltrans conventional transit in Collingwood, 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. – 9: 00 p.m.
There’s a free information session coming up the afternoon of February 25th for those who’d like to try out the service. You’ll find more details here.
