Orillia is going back to the drawing board in its plans for a new greenhouse at Couchiching Park.
The need to replace the building was first identified in 2015, and at the time council approved a design that would serve as an attraction to the public, and be a high profile gateway to the park.
In 2020, council approved going to tender and set aside $1.25 million for the project.
The bids have come back, and they range from about $4-8 million.
City council has opted to redesign the greenhouse and seek a scaled down building that will be more in line with its budget.
