A puppy was the cause of a rollover crash, near Wingham.
Huron OPP say they responded to a crash involving a Cadillac Escalade on Howick-Turnberry Road Sunday, outside Wingham.
According to police, the lone driver was holding her puppy while driving, and the puppy fell into the driver’s side wheel well area.
The incident led the driver to lose control of their SUV, and enter the ditch before rolling, police say.
OPP report the driver received minor injuries, while the puppy was uninjured.
A 35 year old driver from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with Careless Driving.
The Huron OPP remind the public that any animals, persons, or property should be secured and not interfere with the proper management or control of the motor vehicle.
