A fire master plan for Clearview Township says the municipality will need to hire full-time firefighters as it continues to grow.
The report, prepared by a consulting firm, makes 40 recommendations to help inform council as it makes decisions about future emergency services.
It also suggests Clearview purchase an aerial ladder truck, and makes suggestions about health and safety, training, fire prevention and public education.
The consultant praised the current group of paid on-call fire fighters, but says Clearview is facing the same challenge as many other municipalities — keeping and retaining volunteer fire fighters, as calls for service increase.
