Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff will be hosting a virtual information session on the Canada Summer jobs program for employers on Tuesday.
Employment and Social Development Canada says on its website, “The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) provides wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.”
Businesses and organizations in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound that are interested in employing youth this summer are encouraged to register and learn from Service Canada about the application process and ask questions.
Ruff says in a statement, “I encourage all interested employers to attend to learn about the process and to leverage the information to submit a strong application for funding under the 2023 program.”
Potential employers can register through MP Alex Ruff’s website.
The Microsoft Teams meeting is set for 10 a.m., on January 10th.
Applications to the Canada Summer Jobs program itself are due January 12th.
