Hanover police have charged a man with sexual assault after a reported incident at a motel.
Police Chief Christopher Knoll posted on Twitter Tuesday, saying officers responded to an incident at a local motel and determined a female victim was jabbed with a needle before being sexually assaulted by a male known to her.
Knoll says police arrested a 47-year-old man of no fixed address. They did not publish his name.
He was charged with sexual assault, administering a noxious substance & breach of a court order.
The suspect was remanded into custody at his bail hearing.
Knoll says the victim was treated in hospital.
He says Hanover police officers are continuing the investigation.
