The Municipality of Kincardine wants to make sure that motorists are avoiding unnecessary travel today, particularly since all County Roads are closed due to inclement weather.
The say that municipal staff continues to work to improve road conditions and ask that the public stay home and stay safe.
At this time, the only vehicles that should be on roads are plows or emergency service vehicles.
Community Emergency Management Coordinator/Fire Prevention Officer Shane Watson is busy with added duties to the storm. “It’s Christmas Eve, and as Santa’s Local Support Crew, we need to make sure he can easily access the Municipality this evening,” says Watson. “We’ve been in contact with Santa and his team throughout the storm. He emphasizes that it’s important that folks stay home where it’s safe to allow our crews time to prepare for his arrival.”
