Hours at the Exeter Walk-In Clinic (WIC) will be reduced in the new year.
A news release from the South Huron Hospital Association says the walk-in clinic will only operate on weekends and statutory holidays from 11am – 2pm starting January 3, 2023.
The SHHA cites staffing challenges as the reason for the change.
“With regional ED closures, the WIC has seen an increased in orphaned (unattached) patients and this has placed tremendous pressure on current staffing levels,” the news release says.
“The reduction of WIC hours will allow the clinic to better use its resources and provide safer care.”
