A 27-year-old Brampton resident faces charges after a spike belt was used to help stop the vehicle he was driving erratically, but not before he collided with three police cruisers.
Monday at 1 pm OPP tried to stop the vehicle which was headed southbound on Highway 69.
The vehicle kept going so police laid a spike belt out on Highway 400 southbound near HWY 559 in Carling township. The vehicle kept going after hitting that and then hit three cruisers before coming to a full stop.
The accused faces charges of flight from police, dangerous driving while under suspension, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The highway had to be closed for two hours during the incident.
The accused will be in Parry Sound court on January 5th to face the charges.
