Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit – Sexual Assault Section have charged a 30-year-old man from the City of Barrie in connection with sexual assaults committed at a school in Newmarket.
On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, police began an investigation into a school photographer after a female victim came forward to report a sexual assault.
The incident occurred on September 16, 2022, when the victim was getting her school picture taken.
During the investigation, a second victim from the same school came forward and reported a sexual assault by the same suspect.
The accused was arrested on November 2, 2022 and has been charged in connection with both incidents.
Investigators are releasing his photo and are asking any additional victims to come forward.
