After the tournament opening ceremonies, the Owen Sound Jr Attack U15 Kunkel Bus Lines rep team opened the Can/Am Challenge Cup in Lake Placid, NY on Thursday night with a hard fought game vs the Bridgewater Bandits.
Playing shorthanded for much of the game, the Jr Attack entered the final 3 minutes of the game tied 1-1 but could not hang on down the stretch and dropped their first game 2-1.
Kole Hutchinson scored the lone goal for Owen Sound.
The annual Owen Sound Minor Hockey Silver Stick Tournament is this weekend
There are 4 divisions of competition; Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 & Under 16
Tournament play starts today with the Championship Games will be played on Sunday at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre-JD McArthur Arena
