Owen Sound firefighters, police and Grey County EMS were on scene of a house fire on 13th Street ‘A’ West that appeared contained around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Witnesses at the scene say smoke was visible from the roof area of the house before firefighters knocked out some upper windows of the home to ventilate it.
They say no one was home at the time of the blaze and no one was hurt. Police or fire officials have yet to confirm those details.
Witnesses say a cat was safely removed from the home by first responders.
There is no immediate word on the cause of the blaze.
