A man who allegedly barricaded himself in an apartment in Lucknow yesterday has been arrested and charged.
South Bruce OPP, along with specialized units and the OPP Emergency Response Team, responded to disturbance taking place at an apartment building on Walter Street in Lucknow around 12:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Provincial Police say the call related to a “barricaded person” in the building.
OPP say officers contained the residence where the man was located and evacuated nearby residents.
Just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening, police say the adult male suspect was arrested without incident.
Police say the accused remains in custody and faces a criminal charge, but haven’t disclosed the offence.
Walter Street in Lucknow was closed during the incident, but has since re-opened.
