Colby Barlow scored his first career Ontario Hockey League hat trick as the Owen Sound Attack topped the Kitchener Rangers 4-1 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Friday night.
The Attack (3-3-0-0) ended a three-game skid; Kitchener (0-5-0-0) is still searching for its first win of the season, dropping its fifth straight.
Newly acquired forward Matthew Papais, who joined the Attack earlier this week in a trade with the Niagara Ice Dogs, also scored.
Adrian Misaljevic had the lone goal for Kitchener.
Nick Chenard made 28 saves in the win, while Marco Constantini stopped 29 in the loss.
Owen Sound outshot Kitchener 33-29 while going 0 for 3 on the power play; the Rangers finished 0 for 2.
Saturday night, the Attack play their third game in four nights. They welcome the Windsor Spitfires to the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
