1)Why are you running?
I’m running to give back to my community and maintain our small town vision. I want to bring sound governance and leadership experience in addition to my business experience both in the Corporate world and local small business experience.
2) Are there steps the municipality can take to ease cost of living concerns?
The biggest impact that municipalities can make in helping ease the cost of living impact is to develop and implement an Attainable Housing strategy. This coupled with attention to budget management and infrastructure efficiencies in municipal management.
3) What are your ideas for economic development in your municipality?
We need to build a broader base of business economies on top of our Agriculture and Tourism sectors. This includes opportunities to broaden our artistic sector, film production and technology sectors.
4) Do you think the municipality has a role to play in the recruitment and retention of physicians and other healthcare workers?
I believe the municipality can be a key recruiter for physicians and health care workers to build on the Family Health Care network.
