This weekend is the start of Fire Prevention Week. The theme this year is “Fire Won’t Wait, Plan Your Escape.”
People are being urged to conduct a home fire drill –and practice it at least twice a year– once during the day and once at night.
Ramara’s Fire and Rescue Services is hosting an Open House on Wednesday evening at all three of its stations.
They run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the public is invited to drop by to meet with firefighters and learn more about fire prevention.
Station One is on County Road 47 in Brechin. Station Two is on Patricia Drive in Atherley, and Station Three is on County Road 169 near Washago.
