South Georgian Bay OPP have laid charges following a collision on Highway 12.
The crash happened between a car and a motorcycle just after 8 o’clock on Thursday evening on Highway 12 at Vents Beach Road in Tay Township.
When police arrived at the scene, they had to find the driver of the motorcycle, who was shortly found walking on Tay Trail.
The 34-year-old Georgian Bay resident was then arrested and charged with dangerous operation, driving while impaired, and failure to stop after the accident.
They were also charged with a breach of probation and stunt driving.
The motorcycle driver is expected in court on October 17th.
Their vehicle has been impounded for seven days and has had their driver’s license suspended for 90 days.
