Albert Street in Meaford is closed for an ongoing police investigation.
Grey Bruce OPP say they were called to a report of an individual in distress on Albert Street around 4:49 a.m. Grey County paramedics were also on scene.
The individual was transported to hospital in crticial condition.
OPP say Albert Street is closed between Thompson Street and Birchwood Court as police officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
