No one was hurt after a vehicle struck a house in Owen Sound yesterday.
Owen Sound Police, city firefighters and Grey County paramedics responded to the incident across from the Harbourfront Condominiums on 3rd Avenue West just after 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police say a 2010 Ford F150 truck being driven by a 56-year-old Owen Sound man was heading northbound on 3rd Avenue West when it suddenly crossed the oncoming lane and clipped a hydro pole.
The truck’s front left wheel ripped off as a result and the vehicle continued across two properties before striking a house.
City police say the driver wasn’t hurt.
“The hydro pole along with some attached equipment was damaged, the house sustained minor damage while the vehicle was a write off,” Owen Sound Police say in a release.
Police say the 56-year-old driver of the truck was charged with careless driving and having open liquor in a vehicle.
