An unauthorized car rally is expected to descend into the Town of Goderich.
Huron County OPP say the unsanctioned rally scheduled for this weekend would be similar to an event this summer in Wasaga Beach.
That event resulted in nearly 200 charges, frustrated business owners, and damaged OPP vehicles.
In a news release, OPP say they are preparing to “temporarily close roadways to prevent illegal activities and disruptions.”
“Unsanctioned car rally participants can expect a heightened police presence in Goderich. Individuals acting unlawfully may be charged and their vehicle may be towed,” the release says.
The traveling public is advised to check ahead for road closure information and to monitor local media for information and alternate routes.
