Over a dozen charges have been laid, following an vehicle pursuit that concluded in Grand Bend.
OPP say they received complaints of an erratic driver Monday, who had entered the Lambton Shores town from Middlesex County.
According to reports, a spike belt was used to stop the vehicle, but the driver struck police vehicles attempting to flee.
Police say the driver was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle revealed large amounts of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin, police say, while the vehicle had also been reported stolen from the London area.
A 30 year old woman from St. Thomas is facing thirteen charges, including:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle,
- Operation while impaired,
- Flight from peace officer,
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000,
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (four counts),
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance,
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose,
- Assault a peace officer with a weapon and,
- Failure to comply with undertaking (two counts).
