
Wellington OPP say one person was seriously injured in a collision between two pickup trucks.
At around 5:30 Friday morning, police were called to Wellington Road 16 and Line 2 near Damascus.
One person was taken to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. The other driver was treated at the scene.
OPP say the cause of the collision is still being investigated. The roadway had to be closed for six hours.
Then just after noon yesterday, Wellington OPP were called to a Sixth Line and Wellington Road 124 near Brucedale.
Initial reports say a dump truck had rolled over, spilling approximately 14 tons of earth.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed temporarily while clean-up took place.
