There are a number of fall fairs in Grey Bruce this weekend.
The Harriston-Minto Fall Fair presented by the Harriston Ag Society begins Friday night at 6 p.m. and continues until Sunday at 7 p.m.
Friday night there are lawn mower races, a pork pie auction and a country carnival. Saturday will have a parade, kids activities, a dog show, a baby show, a beer garden and a demolition derby among other things. On Saturday night there is a Country 93 Video dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. There are also free line dancing lessons from 8pm-9pm to learn the classic “Good Time” Alan Jackson line dancing.
Sunday will have an antique car show, livestock shows, soap box derby and more.
The Feversham Fall Fair is also being held this weekend at the Osprey Community Arena. It includes exhibits and vendors, from farm equipment companies to a booth dedicated to the british monarchy with british candies and treats for sale. There are games, kids face painting, children’s entertainers. There is also a log sawing competition, antique tractor show, livestock shows and more.
The Chatsworth Fall Fair is set to be held at the Williamsford Community Centre on September 17th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Planned events include a breakfast buffet, sheep show, fireman’s barbecue, chainsaw carver, livestock demonstrations, children’s activities and entertainers and a ‘lawn tractor rodeo’ among other activities.
Later this month, the Rocklyn Fall Fair is set for September 23-25. The Tiverton Fall Fair is set for the weekend of the 30th.
