The County of Simcoe presented a cheque to the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for the CT scanner project.
The County presented the cheque for almost $789,000 on Friday.
The donation is going toward the costs associated with removing the old CT scanner and completing the extensive renovations required for the installation of the new machine earlier this year.
Each year, Simcoe County allocates $3 million dollars to hospitals as a part of a 15-year, $45 million commitment to the Simcoe County Hospital Alliance, which includes Alliston, Barrie, Collingwood, Midland, Newmarket, and Orillia, as well as the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Penetanguishene.
