A Dundalk man has won a nice chunk of change playing the lottery.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Kenneth (Gary) Horsman of Dundalk recently picked up $96,047 in winnings after he won the second prize in the April 13 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Horsman has been playing the lottery weekly for the past few years and this is his first big win.
“I was sitting at my neighbour’s chatting when one of my friends pulled out their phone to check their ticket on the OLG App. I had a bunch of tickets in my truck, so we checked them and discovered the win. Everyone had to scan it themselves to believe it,” he recalls. “They’re all very happy for me.”
The 58-year-old plans to invest his winnings for retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ultramar Express Mart on Main Street in Shelburne.
