Just in time for the long weekend, the city of Orillia has set aside new temporary boat trailer parking areas at the waterfront.
Up until now, the former rail right of way has been available for boaters to leave their trailers while they’re out on the lake.
But that’s been discontinued due to construction, so additional parking is available at the Couchiching Beach Parking Lot near the boat launch off Centennial Drive.
Additional temporary parking is also permitted on the west shoulder of Centennial Drive.
The extra parking will remain available for the balance of the boating season.
